With just one week's notice before production, Taboo Agency brought me on board for a mission that required moving fast. The brief: fly to Sydney, pick up an unreleased BYD Sealion 6 — a vehicle boasting a projected 1,100km range — and drive it back to Melbourne in the most cinematic way possible, documenting the car's features across one of Australia's great road trip routes.
After meeting the head of BYD marketing in Sydney at 10pm, we hit the road first thing the following morning — two talent, one car, and a plan pulled together in days. The result is a short-form road trip film that captures the open road, the landscape between two cities, and the quiet confidence of a car that can handle all of it.
